A river mostly filled with gravel, lined with a stone wall and hill on either side. In the background is a forest of trees, all burnt orange, red, and dark green. The sky is clear and blue with minimal clouds.

Why “Koyo Travels?”

“Kouyou” in the Japanese language refers to the brilliant fall foliage that covers Japan in October and November. With its crisp hiking weather, abundant festivals and holidays, and cozy dishes, there’s something special about celebrating fall in Japan. For this reason, I chose to name this blog after it, designing the logo after momiji, or Japanese maple leaves.
